Parents: Protect Your Child!

Just as you had to teach your children to safely cross the street, warning them of dangers, watching them closely - you should be teaching them about the internet, warning them of dangers, watching them closely - No child should be unsupervised while using the internet - move your computer to a common area of your home and disable the internet when you cannot supervise. Monitor your child's cell phone. Protect your child from preditors, cyberbullying, and inappropriate content.

Student Assessment and Accountability Plan

Dear Parents/Guardians,

April of 2010, the Governing Board of Hesperia Unified School District approved the Student Assessment and Accountability Plan to ensure that our district continues to make adequate progress towards meeting state and federal requirements under the No Child Left Behind Act.  The Student Assessment and Accountability Plan’s main goal is to ensure that all students completing 7th and 8th grade have mastered the basic skills needed to be successful in high school. Knotts Berry Farm Trip~  Will be on our snow day May 18th. Cost is $35.00 This includes admission into the park and the bus ride. Students will need to bring money for food and or a lunch from home.  We will leave the school at 8:00am and arrive back at school at 8:00pm parents need to bring and pick up their student. We recommend students bring; Money, sunblock, sunglasses, sweater, water, anything else they might need for example medication, camera as well as a positive attitude.  Students need to find a partner to walk around with at Knotts Berry Farm.

Students~ Please remember to turn in your texbooks.

 Hesperia Junior High wants your Box Tops! Clip box tops from food containers. Drop them in the Box Top box in your P.E. and Science classroom. Ask your friends and family to save them too!

Parents/ Guardians: Please assist us in making sure the school has updated contact information, including phone numbers of parents/guardians and emergency contacts. We understand this information may have changed since the start of the school year but do ask that we have updated information as needed to better assist in communication and in an event your student should have a health related issue.

We have been informed by our school police department that logo's that have "LA" or "Skin" could have ties to being gang related therefore we will no longer allow clothing to have those logos.
