Parents: Protect Your Child!Just as you had to teach your children to safely cross the street, warning them of dangers, watching them closely - you should be teaching them about the internet, warning them of dangers, watching them closely - No child should be unsupervised while using the internet - move your computer to a common area of your home and disable the internet when you cannot supervise. Monitor your child's cell phone. Protect your child from preditors, cyberbullying, and inappropriate content. The Student Assessment and Accountability Plan’s main goal is to ensure that all students completing 7th and 8th grade have mastered the basic skills needed to be successful in high school. Common Core StandardsSince 2010, 45 states have adopted the same standards for English and math. These standards are called the Common Core State Standards. Having the same standards helps all students get a good education, even if they change schools or move to a different state. Teachers, parents, and education experts designed the standards to prepare students for success in college and the workplace. We have been informed by our school police department that logo's that have "LA" or "Skin" could have ties to being gang related therefore we will no longer allow clothing to have those logos. HJH HATS: Students are only allowed to wear HJH hats at school. This hat is sold in our student store for $15
Parent Pick Up PolicyAttention Parents: Starting this school year you will no longer be allowed to sign your child out after 3:00 PM. All parent pickups in the front office need to be done prior to 3:00 PM cut off. If you are unable to make it to the main office prior to 3:00 PM we ask that you wait for your child to be released at 3:18 PM. Bus PassesBus passes are mandatory . If you have not yet received your bus pass or need to purchase a new one make sure that you stop by the counseling office ASAP. |
